By plane : Marco Polo airport
is the closest airport to Venice and just east of the town
of Mestre. It is 12 km from the centre of Venice. It is served
by flights from many cities in Italy and all over the world.
Airport bus services transport travellers to Venice and there
is also a hydrofoil service running from Marco Polo airport.
From Piazzale Roma the Hotel Nazionale Venice
is easily reached by water taxi or bus.
By car : The A4 passes through Mestre
and is the fastest way to reach Venice. Follow the signs for
Venice and then take the Venice exit. The A4 connects Trieste
with Turin, passing through Milan. If you are coming from
the south, take the A13 fro Padua, which joins with the A4
at Padova. Once you cross the bridge from Mestre, the Ponte
della Libertà, cars must be left at one of the
large car parks on Piazzale Roma or on the
island of Tronchetto.
From piazzale Roma the Hotel Nazionale Venice
can be reached by a water bus, numbers 1 or 82. Get off at
the Ferrovia stop. From here you turn right
and follow the Lista di Spagna where
the Hotel Nazionale Venice is located.
By train : The Hotel Nazionale Venice
is extremely close to Venice’s Santa Lucia train station.
From here the hotel is easily reached on foot. Exit the station
directly onto Lista di Spagna where the hotel
